What Is Support@LifeChurch?

Support @ Life Church is here to give practical help to individuals, couples or families at specific points of need for them. People in need are noted by the Pastoral. Oversight or Ministry leaders and we then have a chat with them as to how Support @ Lifechurch can best help. We have practically helped many people, not just people within our church family but also the wider community to act as a positive example of God’s love.

We have helped people after major surgery, people who have suffered financial hardship, people in bereavement and families welcoming new babies or adopted children.

What we do

The most common support is making home cooked meals for people. It is one less thing for families to have to think through. We can provide a few meals as a one off, 10 meals for families with new editions or maybe even a few weeks or months of support depending on the need.

What we need

Many hands. We don’t expect you to be a great Chef, but if you can double up when you are cooking at home and bring the extra in to Life Church, we freeze it down ready to be used as needed. With enough volunteers you won’t be asked too regularly, maybe once a month. We will advise you if there are specific dietary requirements or numbers to prepare food for.

Meals will need to be freezable and in disposable containers if possible (these are available on request).

Sometimes people need help in other ways such as ironing, dog walking, general help. If you are willing to help in any way, please get in touch and we will contact you as and when needs some up.
